Meet The Leadership Team

Matt Gill

President - Fiduciary Financial Advisor

Matt is a fiduciary financial advisor with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in helping individuals and families design investment and retirement strategies that align with their goals and adapt as their needs evolve. Matt and his team employ a dynamic planning process that creates clarity and confidence for clients as they navigate their financial futures.

In addition to advising clients, Matt mentors financial advisors nationwide and speaks at industry events across the United States. He is also dedicated to improving financial literacy through educational workshops and webinars delivered in partnership with employers, government organizations, community groups, and churches. His presentations address a wide range of financial topics, equipping attendees with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their financial well-being.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family. His favorite activities are golfing with his wife and two teenage grandsons and playing guitar.

Barb Gill

Chief Operations Officer

Barb serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Decision 1 Financial. Gifted in organizational leadership, she keeps the rhythm of Decision 1 Financial flowing; driving the vision and strategic efforts of all departments. She is responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all internal and external processes and provides the day-to-day leadership and management of Decision 1 Financial’s service-focused organization.

Barb excels at driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and aligning teams toward a shared vision. Her strategic leadership helps ensure that clients receive the highest level of professionalism, efficiency, and care.

Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, walking Colorado’s scenic trails, golfing with her husband Matt, and gathering with family.

Tyler Gill

Divisional VP - Mortgage and Financial Services

Tyler is a financial professional with extensive experience in the mortgage and finance industry, specializing in client service and retirement planning strategies. His background in business and entrepreneurial management, paired with in-depth market knowledge, allows him to navigate the financial landscape with precision and provide clients with clear, straightforward guidance.

Based out of the Broomfield office, Tyler serves clients across the state of Colorado. Known for being transparent and detail-oriented, he sets clear expectations and ensures clients have the information they need for a seamless planning process. His goal is to help clients maximize their resources and enjoy greater confidence in their financial security.

Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys being outdoors as much as possible and spending time with his wife, Camry, and their dog, Bella.

Tasha Thayer

Divisional VP - Marketing and Brand Management

Tasha combines her background in financial services with strong expertise in digital strategy and content marketing to ensure Decision 1 Financial’s communications are clear, consistent, and client-focused.

Tasha oversees all marketing initiatives, business development, and community engagement. She is deeply committed to highlighting Decision 1 Financial’s differentiated approach to financial planning - one that emphasizes customized strategies, meaningful relationships, and long-term client success.

Passionate about connecting with both clients and the community, Tasha leads efforts that expand financial literacy, foster partnerships, and enhance brand trust.

Tasha and her husband Tom, have been married for nearly 20 years and are the proud parents of two teenage sons. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her community.
